Event Details:
Groups Matter is a one-day training event by Lifeway and sponsored by the SBTC. The goal of this training is to equip church leaders to maximize and expand their group ministry. This workshop will equip you with the tools and resources to build more groups, strategies for growing groups, and equip leaders to enlist and develop new and current leaders.

Registration includes lunch and access to 20 digital resources from Lifeway.

Schedule:
  • 9AM – Conference begins/welcome/intros
  • 9:15AM – Session 1: Why Groups Matter – Setting the stage for the importance of groups
  • 10AM – Break
  • 10:15AM – Session 2: The Purpose of Groups – tie back to Scripture, The Great Commission, and a vision for what groups should be doing.
  • 11:00AM – Session 3: Starting New Groups – 5-step formula to grow the ministry
  • 11:45AM – Lunch
  • 12:30PM – Session 4: Best Practices for Enlisting New Leaders – recruitment principles
  • 1:15PM – Session 5: Training Group Leaders
  • 2:00PM – Dismiss
